ABOUT US

The Mission of Rachels Projects Foundation is to provide a central location for the social networking, educational resources, and financial assistance programs to the LGBTQ community with emphasis on the T (Transgender/Transsexual) population of the Central Valley of the state of California.

Our Purpose is to bring about social change for the benefit of the transgender community through activities and events that bring education, understanding, and support to all.

To provide a means of collective action for parents, children, relatives, and friends to promote the medical, physical, emotional, educational, vocational, cultural, and social advancement of the transgender and other members of the LGBTQQII community.

To serve as a vehicle through which the transgender community and interested other persons can come together in local, state, and national meetings to plan and carry out programs, activities, events, and any other action which will improve the overall condition and quality of life for the transgender community.

To provide resources for guides, speakers, and educational material to the transgender community and the community at large.

To provide opportunities to learn and experience leadership and advocacy to any interested individual.

To provide comprehensive trainings including, but not limited to:  sensitivity, cultural competency, transgender awareness, and panel presentations on issues of trans-experiences.

Rachels Projects Foundation is a private, charitable foundation that is all-inclusive and publicly open to everyone and anyone, regardless of individual socioeconomic conditions, age, color, creed, disability, gender identity, national origin, race, sexual orientation, family status, or military status.

The interests and concerns of all those that are transgender and gender-diverse are valuable and should be heard and fairly represented.  This includes all classes, subgroups, and minorities.  Mutual benefit can be achieved by working with other organizations in the pursuit of civil and human rights.  “The rights of every person are diminished when the rights of one are threatened.” –John F. Kennedy
